Professional Practice
Stephen joined Chambers following the completion of his pupillage with Mr Kenneth Lee, Mr Douglas Kwok, Mr Randy Shek, Mr Richard Yip, and Mr Carter Chim. He is developing a broad civil and criminal practice, and has recently acted in matters involving administration of estate, building management, contractual disputes, fraud, injunctive reliefs, and insolvency. He accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ practice.
In January to March 2025, Stephen was appointed as a Contract Marshal of the Judiciary. He provided assistance to justices of the Court of First Instance of the High Court in that capacity.
Stephen obtained his undergraduate degrees in social sciences and law from the University of Hong Kong. He then went on to obtain a LLM in human rights with distinction from the same university, ranking first in class.
Stephen is native in Cantonese, and fluent in English and Mandarin.

- CPK v GCKY (HCA 1945/2023) – Acted for the defendant in the plaintiff’s claim for breach of agreements for sale and purchase of shares and settlement deeds, resisted strike-out application of defences under the Money Lenders Ordinance (Cap. 163)
- KTVJSC v GL (HCA 1117/2024) – Acted for the plaintiff in a claim for unpaid purchase orders (with Mr Richard Yip)
Criminal
- HKSAR v CCM [2025] HKCFI 721 – Acted for the defendant charged with indecent assault in a 2-day trial; obtained bail pending appeal and conducted the magistracy appeal (with Mr Randy Shek)
- HKSAR v HHHY (WKCC 1620/2024) – Conducted plea and mitigation for a defendant charged with disclosing personal data without relevant consent, obtained suspended sentence
- HKSAR v Pun Lin-fa [2024] HKCFI 3517 – Acted for the defendant in a magistracy appeal against convictions of displaying bills or posters without permission (with Mr Carter Chim)
Fraud / Asset Recovery
- TJ v ZB & Anor (DCMP 6496/2024, DCCJ 1215/2025) – telephone fraud, assisted in obtaining Norwich Pharmacal reliefs against banks
Injunctive Reliefs
- HICL v CCMIL & Anor (HCA 1976/2024) – resisted and obtained dismissal of the plaintiff’s inter partes application for Mareva injunction at the first call-over hearing
- X & Anor v Y[2023] HKCFI 2931 – opposition to continuation of an anonymity order (with Mr Richard Yip)
