Professional Practice
Melinda has extensive experience in general civil litigation, and has handled cases involving contractual disputes, trusts and property disputes, matrimonial and family matters, probate and estate administration, employment disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, and enforcement proceedings.
Melinda has appeared as advocate for interlocutory applications and trial at various levels of court and statutory tribunals, and has experience in disciplinary hearings. She has also represented and advised lay clients at arbitration proceedings and mediation meetings.
In the recent years, Melinda has been developing her practice in alternative dispute resolution particularly for cross border disputes. She accepts appointment as mediator and arbitrator. She is a CEDR Accredited Mediator and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators.
Melinda was appointed as Temporary Deputy Registrar of the District Court in 2023 and 2024.
